Directions to The River Lodge
FROM ROTORUA
Head south towards Taupo on State Highway 5. About 30 minutes from Rotorua you will pass the NZMP Factory, then a mechanic workshop and takeaway store. About 2kms on you will see Ballance Fertiliser on the right. Homestead Road is opposite on the left. Turn left into Homestead Road, you will see the River Lodge sign. Turn right after the one lane bridge into Halcrow Road, travel 4kms to The River Lodge which is sign posted on the right. This is the beginning of Vaile Road and the entrance to The Lodge.
FROM TAUPO
Head towards Rotorua on State Highway 5. About 20 minutes from Taupo you will see the Ohaaki Cooling Tower in the distance on the right. Stay on State Highway 5; go down the hill and cross the Mihi Bridge. Keep going and pass through Golden Springs and 2km on you will see Ballance Fertiliser on the left and Homestead Road is opposite on the right. Turn right into Homestead Road. You will see the large River Lodge Sign. Turn right after the one lane bridge into Halcrow Road, travel 4kms to The River Lodge which is sign posted on the right. This is the beginning of Vaile Road and the Entrance to The Lodge.
